Today’s subject simply is too much to cover. I cannot do it all in one blog post, one day, or even one series because my gratitude for these people is far too big. On the ninth day of this series, … Continue reading Family: 12 DOG

As I decided what to write about today, everything I am thankful for tried to overwhelm and muddy my brain. However, just last night as I flipped through a book, I was reminded how lucky we are to have this thing and I will continue to celebrate and study it for the rest of my life. Today, I am going to discuss my love of art, which is quite up there on the scale of things I love (sushi of course, dominates the scale most days). In the first grade, I painted a Cat in the Hat portrait that was … Continue reading Art: 12 DOG
Hello all, and happy December. It is the final month of the year, and 2017 has taught me so many things. Besides the fact that I really miss Obama and Vine, 2017 also enlightened me to a few things. I ate a lot of sushi, traveled, and met my new best friend. And especially at the time of another year ending, I find myself reminiscing on the past just as much as I plan for the future. Most days I consider both to be a win for me. But I am carefully selective with … Continue reading 19 in 19: Alone Time
I like to think of myself often as a much older, wiser and more refined woman than just another nineteen year old teenage girl. While I have many theories and reasons to support my hypothesis, one compelling argument is my … Continue reading 19 in 19: All-Around Balance
They say that the older you get, the less you want things and the more you want something you can’t hold or play with. I remember for my ninth birthday, I wanted lots of dolls. I had boxes of Barbies, houses for them to live in, entire wardrobes for them to change into, and even tiny little cups and plates for them to eat on. These days, as someone who relates to the themes achievement, focus, and discipline (Clifton StrengthsFinder) what I want most it seems is just to feel accomplished about what I’m doing with my life. But I’ve … Continue reading 19 in 19: The Little Things
I have been blessed enough to have lived in one home growing up. I lived in a house with a woodland backyard and a safe neighborhood. I lived right outside a city where the people smile at strangers and everyone … Continue reading 19 in 19: Internal Home
