It’s nearly 11 pm on a Saturday night, and I am determined to complete my stranger of the day project no matter what. Luckily, I was fortunate enough to meet Kristen Chapman today, a twenty-year old from Troy, Illinois.

Visiting KU for the weekend, I witnessed firsthand a fun fact about Kristen, in which she can wiggle her right ear. It was mind-blowing.

Her favorite thing about herself is that she’s easy to get along with, and I agreed and could relate to that, especially after she shared an embarrassing story from high school (we all have a few of those). Kristen was a freshman on the cheer team, and instead of noticing that the cheer had began, she stood on the sidelines staring into space. She was so dazed and tired that she didn’t realize what was happening until after the cheer was over. However, after meeting Kristen it’s easy to understand her laid-back and content persona.

If there’s one thing I’m hoping to pick up in the future, it’s a trouble-free vibe. Maybe someday I’ll be able to relax enough to just be in my own world. One can only hope!
